Our home is located across the street from Old Silver Beach; only a parking lot separates us from the warm waters of Buzzards Bay. Sitting atop a hill, our raised oceanview deck offers stunning nightly sunsets. rarely seen on the East Coast.
Old Silver is often called the best beach on Cape Cod. The bay water is warmer than the oceanside water, the seas calm and shallow; great for kids. The great whites have not been found in Buzzards Bay.
We happily renovated the house in 2011. It is a ranch home with a massive finished basement, two living rooms, pool table, ping pong table and outdoor shower. Walk to the beach in under two minutes! It is truly like an oceanfront house at an oceanview price.
The large wraparound deck has a table for outdoor dining, with adirondack and rocking chairs for cocktails at sunset.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishwasher, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave and ample dishes and silverware.
There are two full showers and an oversized outdoor shower. A patio beneath the deck on the basement walk-out is a shaded is sitting area great for steamy hot days. The walkway to the beach is lined with stunning blue hydrangeas.
There are just two homes past this on our dead end street, so there is rarely any traffic.
There is an inlet just down the road that is great for canoeing or exploring, filled with egrets and great blue herons.
