Summary: We were quite disappointed when we arrived, as the room did not live up to the expectations we had from the website and the many positive reviews. The rooms seem to vary in style and furnishings, and the main disappointment was the condition of the room. The interior was old and quite worn, and felt very dated and tired. Only the bathroom seemed to have been updated. The bed was also extremely hard and unfortunately not very comfortable. We had expected a higher standard based on the positive reviews, so the overall condition of the room was a real disappointment. On the positive side, the location in Chamonix is excellent, and the view is absolutely fantastic. The location and scenery are definitely the highlights of the property. It was very convenient that toilet paper and dishwasher tablets were provided, and that extra rubbish bags and towels could be requested at reception. Overall, the location and view are wonderful, but the condition and comfort of the room unfortunately did not meet our expectations.
